Finding the Balance

This is sort of a controversial topic. It's a health issue, and a little more important than I, til recently, gave it credit for having. Finding the balance, is difficult, so I would like some other opinions on the subject. I'll try to tread lightly. When I went out to Ohio, on our way home, I met my wonderfully healthy Aunt, carrying her bottle of water and her ginger chews. I was awestruck at her spirituality and beauty. I had already been prepared by the Lord to learn everything I could from her, on matters of health, or rather, what we eat. I was not expecting to be spiritually challanged like I was, but I was. There are some conclusions that I have come to, and some questions that should still be asked. In our modern day America, obesity has reached an all time high. Children are not concentrating in schools, nor do they have discipline at home. Health care is terrible (as far as affordable) and it seems like every time we turn around someone has cancer or some kid

On the Neckar

These pictures were all done with the phone, so bare with me. There is always something going on, on the Neckar, in Heidleberg. Last weekend, apparently the theme was "alternative modes of transportation". That explains the glider plane and the hybrid cars. Everything else was typical. Naked babies in the fountain, beer and bratwurst, and German bands singing American 80s songs in English, with the exception of the one above. We think they were singing Spanish songs. Anyway, we stopped to listen because they were different. If I had known that it was an event in attempt to sway the public from contributing to global warming, maybe Ben and I would have opted for the paddle boat, instead of the motorized one, but we didn't. Holiday Question Marks ????????

Well...it's nothing compared to you mothers out there, but still, 'tis the season for headaches, cookies, ornament exchanges, secret Santas, Starbuck's Latte cups with snowflakes on them, a billion shoppers (where were they the rest of the year?), and holiday cheer....oh not to mention my OPEN HOUSE!!?!!! Welp, I need some feed back on this picture that I just did. I used pastels. Artists please! Something is not right. Barbara? anybody? Those of you that know Amy Davies, please don't tell her what Santa, I mean, Sara is sending. Last I knew, she wasn't a blog girl. I also have another question. I had this brilliant idea (the term 'brilliant' is debated) to have an Open House/Cookie Exchange. It didn't occur to me that my house was going to 'get checked out' during this shin-dig, until too late.
