Finding the Balance

This is sort of a controversial topic. It's a health issue, and a little more important than I, til recently, gave it credit for having. Finding the balance, is difficult, so I would like some other opinions on the subject. I'll try to tread lightly. When I went out to Ohio, on our way home, I met my wonderfully healthy Aunt, carrying her bottle of water and her ginger chews. I was awestruck at her spirituality and beauty. I had already been prepared by the Lord to learn everything I could from her, on matters of health, or rather, what we eat. I was not expecting to be spiritually challanged like I was, but I was. There are some conclusions that I have come to, and some questions that should still be asked. In our modern day America, obesity has reached an all time high. Children are not concentrating in schools, nor do they have discipline at home. Health care is terrible (as far as affordable) and it seems like every time we turn around someone has cancer or some kid...

versitile kid

I did a little photo shoot with Keane yesterday. I was really impressed by my Pastor's wife and friend, Samantha. She took some great photos of her boy. With all this spring cleaning (I still have more to do), I decided to spring clean my blog. All of you out there who have decided to limit access to your blog, please send me an invite,too. I lost my links. I just want to praise the Lord with how things are progressing with Keane. He is such a great kid. He will either take formula or breastfeed. He'll take a pacifier or put fingers in his mouth (I told him grandma would not be happy about that). We do try to remove the fingers and plug in the binky. He'll sleep with us or sleep in his crib. Last night we put him down around 10:00, he woke up at 12 a little fussy. I put the pacifier in and let him work out the rest. This morning I woke up after five, thinking something was wrong. He pretty much slept 'til 6. The one thing he doesn't do is fill his shorts...

2 Month Birthday

Hey Everybody! I'm two months old (eight weeks)! We celebrated pretty well. My mom gave me constipation and my dad gave me a cold. (I'm learning the art of sarcasm a little early.) After a few hairy nights, I'm feeling a little better. Mama was kinda frantic, making phone calls to Grandma at 1:30 in the morning. I think I've slept in every possible position and had a thermometer stuck, you know where, more times than I'd like to count (if I could count). They put my bouncer in the middle of the bed (not that I'm in the mood for bouncing) so that I could sleep upright. It's kind of hard to breath right now. They seem to think that the shoving that plastic bulb in my nose helps. I beg to differ. You know that Karo syrup really works for constipation? I'm pretty proud of myself for filling up my shorts the way I did yesterday. I even had to take a bath. I generally like baths. Mom steamied up the bathroom for me while she was taking a shower thi...
