We're Back!!!!!!!!!

..from a week long "Baby Moon" in Italy.

Little did I know that Italy was the place to go for a sailboat theme. We decided ahead of time to get something special for Keane. Turns out, we got a few something specials for Keane 'cause all we saw were sailboats, sailboats, sailboats.

Super excited about these tourists finds.

There is a lady coming over tomorrow to help with the quilt. Yikes, hope my house is back to order or I might get sued for endangerment.

I saw all over the place fish netting with seashells attached to it. I know that sounds tacky, but it really isn't. I would like to attach these letters (Keane) to the netting and drape it through the lifesavers, as well as a few seashells and hang it over his crib. We'll see, can't find fish netting. :(

Here is a little trick that my friend Jenniffer Scroggins taught me about leaving your plants. Make sure there are holes in the bottom of the pots, but then put your plants in a tub with a little bit of water. Yes! I hate asking people to water plants. Taking care of animals is one thing, and if it were scorching hot outside, I wouldn't hesitate, but we were only gone a week. This was a great substitute for a plant sitter.

Here's John, ready for breakfast, in front of the "Ghetto Cabin". I have never been so high maintenance on a trip. I had to stop every five minutes on the eight hour trip south. Ridiculous. I use to be able to go non-stop. Nope, not even a potty break, just to fill gas.

Day at the beach.

Campground cat that I fed cheese and milk everyday. Poor cat. John was a little nervous about that. He was afraid the cat had a disease or something that I would catch, but I can't resists cats. I just washed my hands a lot.

Somewhere along the hike between the Cinque Terre villages.

John and Preggo, not the Italian sauce.

Well, Keane is kickin', and I better do my German homework, also, dinner awaits to be prepared for the hungry man coming home. More on Italy later, though, it isn't really that exciting. The Cinque Terre hype didn't add up for me. We did meet some cool people, however, and it's always fun to hang out with John.

Ah Sara - I'm really excited about the plant trick. I'm going to definitely try that next week while we are gone. How much did you fill the tub?

PS glad you had a fun trip with so many great finds. I like the baby name idea with the net.
just a little bit of water. It just needs to cover the bottom. It also depends on how long you are going to be gone. :) Maybe you don't have a window in your bathroom, but if you do, make sure you let a little light shine in.

Looking good! I loved Cinque Terre. Just loved the pretty scenery and the good pesto. I also was always there for only one day with a bunch of high school kids, so that might be part of it. I'm sure you guys had fun there in Italy, I sure miss some good Italian food.

Oh yeah. So we will probably be there at Christmas! We'd love to check in and see how you guys are doing if we get the chance. That would be fun. Blessings my friend!
no way!!!!
I should be about ready to pop by then!
I know that Ashleigh reads this sometimes (she's the silent stalker type, j/k Ash). Anyway, I thought of you today Ashleigh, I made Thai!
I don't know if you guys know, but we dissented to the other house group. John has another friend over there and we just seem to fit better, though I feel bad. It was nothing personal or anything.
Let us know when you get here, Megan!
