These pictures were all done with the phone, so bare with me.
There is always something going on, on the Neckar, in Heidleberg. Last weekend, apparently the theme was "alternative modes of transportation". That explains the glider plane and the hybrid cars. Everything else was typical. Naked babies in the fountain, beer and bratwurst, and German bands singing American 80s songs in English, with the exception of the one above. We think they were singing Spanish songs. Anyway, we stopped to listen because they were different.
If I had known that it was an event in attempt to sway the public from contributing to global warming, maybe Ben and I would have opted for the paddle boat, instead of the motorized one, but we didn't. So we polluted our way up the Neckar to get a closer look at the castle.
I don't think Ben knew I was taking his picture.
What an awful picture of me, but I wanted to announce that John and I are expecting our first in January. I'm about 11 weeks along. I gave up keeping it a secret when I discovered that my Dad had notified the whole West coast of the United States. So what's the point? Anne and Kelly, I hope you don't mind I'm using the whole charting image too, but I'm using a brown baby. :) Chances are, we won't be having a blond haired blue eyed one. :)

I am so excited for you and can't wait to keep up with pictures and news!
We are pretty excited.
How come your ticker says your only 9 weeks if you're 11 weeks along? Have you been to the doctor yet? I love being pregnant and cannot wait to be a mom - though I wish I could pass by the labor and delivery part.
wow, sara... a mommy. let me tell you, i have never given birth, but being a mommy is the most amazing thing ever. it is an honor!
i love you and am so happy for you both!
congratulations!

Congrats again!!!
Janelle, don't be silly, you'll have beautiful toe-headed babies. I did find out today that I've always had a fixation with chaco-babies. I guess I asked for brown cabbage patch kids as well as white ones when I was little.
Congratulations from some old friends of Jon's from Germany, The Santimaw's. I happened to find your blog through Mark and Anne B's blog. It is a blessing for us to see how God has answered so many prayers in your life. Praise the Lord!!!
In His Wonderful Love,

I, too, am 11 weeks and expecting in early January! Cool beans! I am so happy for you guys! Keep us posted how the pregnancy is going...I hope yours is doing better than mine! I'm better now, but those first two months were awful.
Anywho...so, so glad for you!
